How to maintain the Phenolic Resin tops of workbench
Phenolic Resin tops are widely used in the laboratory workbench as a work top, it is moisture resistant, moderately chemical resistant, and easy to clean.
How to maintain the Phenolic Resin tops of workbench
Using a soft cloth and a gentle cleaning agent solution for daily cleaning. Dry with a soft cloth or chamois to absorb water spotting. Shine the surface with small amount of Murphy’s Oil.
When reagent spill on the worktop, wipe up spills with fabric immediately. Remove the surface residues with water and soap, acetone is also using for the difficult cases. DO NOT use abrasive cleaning tools such as hard wool brushes for cleaning anytime.
If necessary, small scratches and nicks can be sanded out of the tabletop followed by refinishing the surface.
Things we should avoid using on workbench with Phenolic Resin tops
· Avoid thermal shock. Do not put liquid nitrogen or dry ice directly into sinks or on tabletops
· bleach solutions, tub and tile cleaners, or oven cleaners.
· Avoid contact with sharp objects, hard metal tools, and abrasives.
· Do not apply wax or cleaning materials which contain wax.
